| on our first group walk on friday i was talking to brenda and she told me about zep the dog trainer from mascani(where fred if from) ....
i got in touch with mo and asked how zep was, i didnt say you had told me brenda, i wasnt sure if you would want me too hun....
zep was serioulsy mauled by a dogue de bordeaux that was sent to them for a second time for training, by all accounts it was a totally unprovoked attack, and zep is lucky to be alive, he was struggling with the dog for some time on his own, if mo hadnt heard him calling for her and if geoff the other trainer hadnt been there to help, it coud be a very different story were hearing!
zep was rushed staight into surgery where after 1 and half hours they were still not finished but were removing fragments of his watch out of the bone on his wrists.... terrible injuries....there was only a puncture into the tendon, and if it had snapped apparently, his right hand would have been useless for a long time and restricted for life.... they managed to stitch up the hole in the middle of it, and so it never lost its elasticity.... they couldn't stitch it up for a week, he had to have it all open with cage around his arms, and elevated from those pulleys....personally i would call him a very lucky man
because the dog attacked for no reason and it was a prolonged attack, mo had to tell the owners that the dog would have to be pts, ...They said that they would have the dog put to sleep the next day, then they told mo a cock and bull story the next day that their vet said that he probably wouldn't ever do it again, so there was no need to have him put to sleep !! If they had told the vet the truth, no vet would have said that... to this day, the dog lives on, and they have not even paid their bill despite 2 invoices - nor sent Zep a card or a good wish..... how awful is that?!!
the dog is still alive to this day, the abbey vets have been informed and so have the police by mo and zep, so we shall await to see what happens, fingers crossed the dog isnt in the headlines soon! | |

| Yeah, I was thinking it being close. Theres an Abbey in Chellaston too. There is a DDB in Littleover who drags a chavvy bloke down the road, seen it a few times, that doesnt look well trained at all. Will def be looking out for them though, you dont see many about here. I hope its not near you either. | |
