| Has anybody heard of this or better still used it? Saw it at Crufts last year.
I have spent this evening trawling the 'net to someone who sells Atopica cheaply & have seen this mentioned a couple of times as being helpful for skin problems.
Getting really desperate now as the OH is talking of having Sly PTS.
Money is a huge issue for us atm but I would never forgive myself (or the OH!) if we didnt give him a fighting chance.

| Atopica is a ridiculous price. Didn't see much change in Sabre when I tried him with it so we stopped using it. Had to go back to the vets last week because the itching and biting has started again (I'm convinced it has something to do with the warmer weather/seasons).... This is the damage he did last Tuesday by biting and licking himself!..... Vet put him on steriods, which I have to say I have a problem with. Same steriods Max was put on a month before he died. May not even be a connection, but can't help thinking that there might have been. Only gave Sabre one tablet and couldn't bring myself to give him any more! Someone told me to try Denes Greenleaf tablets, so I went out and brought some last Thursday. Sabre has only been on them a few days but he's itching has reduced dramatically! It might just be a coincidence and nothing to do with the greenleaf. But I'll keep my eye on him and let you know how it goes. Was wondering if you'd tried them? Might be worth a shot? | |

| Oh good luck Bev, I dont know what to suggest, I have never dealt with this sort of thing. I was just wondering if sudocrem or witch hazel are safe to use, just to soothe it a bit?
I hope you manage to find something soon

Most resonable sized pet shops or stores, or on the internet. I brought mine from pets at Home, but if they carry on working I'll buy a larger size online next time.

| No, used greenleaf. Itching has really calmed down a lot, so keeping my fingers crossed I've finally found something to help. | |

here you go this is their website I used it for a foster do to heal his bald patches up due to skin allergy and it works Used this on one of Chloe's horses for mud fever. It was awesome. Saw an improvement within a couple of applications! Never thought of using it on Sly though Took him to the vets last night & he has given us some antibiotics and thinks he ought to go back on Prednisolone. Asked him if he would write us a prescription and he said if we get a price off the internet he will try to match it. Cant say fairer than that!
