update on my mam

  Just another update for you

Mam had her operation yesterday morning to have major surgery to take away part of her bowel, It was a very long morning and to be honest not much work done. At 1pm I was very touched when her consultant personally rang me to let me know how things went. Its not very often that happens!!!

he was pleased that mams operation went really well, she caused concern in recovery though when her oxygen levels dropped and she became non responsive so she was put on the High Dependency Unit as a precaution but when I popped in to see her at 3pm she was sitting up and much better. When I went this afternoon she was sitting in a chair and had been having short walks around the bay. She is eating well and for 78 years old she has surprised everyone. Its still early days but she is on the road to recovery and life is certainly becoming a bit brighter as the past 3 months have been so dark and gloomy.

You must be so relieved that shes had the operation now and is on the road to recovery

That is excellent news Jude  seeing her sat up when you arrived must of been a huge relief, so pleased to read how well it's gone

Mam got home at 3pm today  

she is making great progress1yes  work have given me 5 days carers leave to help dad which is really good of them

Glad to hear your mum is home  

Its great work have given you some time off   im sure your mum will feel so much better being back in her own home with her family looking after her    especially as you will take alot of the strain off your dad

 hopefully she is well on the way to recovery and is up and about soon
