| He got attacked today by a friends dog ..... We didn't even see it happen, Fred was on lead playing with a bottle, I was busy watching bella and daisy run about off lead...when I caught Fred put his paws round my friends dogs head and was about to bite her, I grabbed him quick and she grabbed her dog, when I noticed blood everywhere .... My friends husky had already had him, his ear was a bit of a mess, his cartelidge was hanging out and there was blood everywhere He was kept in at the vets and they repaired his ear, and thankfully they haven't had to cut any of it out , but because you can't repair broken cartelidge they had to pull the skin over it and stitch it up, they still can't promise that it won't have to be cut out, are now just hoping there's no infections and that the skin heals nicely I thought fred was starting a fight, had I known he was defending himself I wouldn't have stopped him so soon, she needs a good bite to put her in her place! ... She's already attacked bella and another dog but nothing as bad as this I did feel sorry for my friend though, she is absolutely mortified It's horrible to see him uncomfortable and in pain, he's not very well at all now the anaesthetic has worn off It's looking like an uncomfortable night on the sofa downstairs tonight | |

| I'm keeping everything crossed that's all it is .... I keep thinking back to when it happened, he was minding his own business bless him, happily playing with a plastic bottle I bet he wondered what happened | |

| If he's still like this in a week or two I'm taking him to Zeps for a few lessons and maybe finish gold .... I won't take him to where I take bella as they don't know his background when it comes to this sort of thing if you know what I mean | |

| Dont blame you Have you seen their new workshop where you work in a small group with the trainers You can watch them training your dog or train them yourself but in much smaller groups Think it said maximum was 4 Sounds very good I wish i lived nearer to still take Mickey | |

| Ooh I've heard about the workshop, didn't realise that's what it was all about though it sounds very different My friend is thinking of taking her dog, the one that bit Fred so I may just take Fred along with her | |

| Bless ya hun I really hope Fred improves for you hun He was doing so well I'm sure with your love and attention that he'll come round. I reckon it would be a good idea to go to Zeps again it'll help his confidence regardless of whether he is a nightmare or not it surely couldnt do any harm one way or the other The sooner you get back on a bike and ride again the better mentality (if that makes sense ) | |
