PostSubject: Mickey is so possessive!   Thu Nov 06, 2014 9:00 pm

We bought a thundershirt earlier in the year for Mickey to stop him chewing the hotspot on his back and obviously to use when he gets stressed
He hated it and it wasnt really used so was put away with the thousands of other unused doggie items
Im sure everyone on here has one of these cupboards
Anyway Keira was getting totally stressed out with the fireworks so out came the thundershirt which seemed to really calm her down
BUT!!!! Guess who now wants one
Mickey was not happy to see Keira in HIS THUNDERSHIRT
ITS HIS AND HE WANTS TO WEAR IT
so off we went this afternoon to get another one for Keira
I now have two dogs lying here sleeping nice and peacefully in their matching thundershirts
I just hope they keep them calm over the weekend when all the fireworks will know doubt be going off

It's chilled him so much Bren, he doesn't even care about the house rules

The little sod doesnt want to wear it now

He doesnt get scared like Keira he just doesnt like the noise of fireworks so barks when any go off

The thundershirt has definately helped Keira   She normally gets really upset panting and shaking like a leaf when she hears fireworks
She still has a bark but then settles down instead of turning into a quivering jelly

Glad it has helped her Bren, I feel so sad for frightened dogs this time of year

We were lucky this year, the house behind us let some off on Thursday which upset the dogs the end a couple of houses up let some off Friday but they didn't bang, they were just the pretty ones which didn't really bother them and last night someone was letting off loud ones but they were to far away to worry the dogs...let's hope it's bloody over for another year
