| Sorry girls, I didn't really want to talk about it yesterday It was an extremely long day ... We got there early in the morning so we could tidy up, do some washing etc .. I am however really really concerned about the cat .. She's shutting it out or in the kitchen all day... She's gone really thin and looks sad!!! I'm going to try and get over this week and take a cat litter tray, auto feeders and a nice cat igloo bed if that fails, I'm bringing her home with me The doctor took a good look at my mum, it doesn't look good...she needs blood tests, stomach scans and chest x-rays ...all of which my mothers said no too....but secretly we've booked the blood team to come out in two weeks without her knowing, when it's dropped on her she's alright... Either that or she will tell them to f**k off lol!!! There is definitely something wrong with the stomach she says it happened when the dog jumped on her several weeks ago, it could be that a rib was fractured (due to her bones now being brittle) and this is what started the whole chain of problems , it's abnormally bloated, larger than a pregnant woman due to drop!!.... Which could and possible is/ be her kidneys and liver, her stomach is full of fluid which could be seeping from her liver! Or the bloating could be a tumour!! My mother has now developed a bit of a chesty cough and indigestion like pain which the doctor is concerned about! My mothers feet are dark and swollen, this is either due to her liver related problems or due to lack of protein! My mother also has no appetite, she hasn't eaten properly for weeks, we don't know if it's cos she's in pain or because she just can't get it down!!! Her urine is so dark it's almost black and he stools are very loose!! So the long and short of it is...unless she accepts help she's buggered!! ... And because she is of same mind we can not get her admitted, but the doctor says she will eventually become confused and incoherent which will then be the time to get her admitted without consent, but by then it will almost possibly be too late She's had an extremely large prescription of painkillers, folic acid, vitamins etc to make her more comfortable ...so that's where we are up to now xxx _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | What a terrible situation to be in, at least you managed to get the doc to see to her, hopefully the tablets will ease her symptoms and give her thoughts on getting all the treatment she needs, being so poorly she prob has no incentive to look after the cat at the moment, your doing all you can hun, its very hard for you and extremely stressful and frustrating, I really hope she will take the help your all trying to give |

| Such a frustrating woman That's exactly what's up with her...she's so ill her self she can't be bothered to look after the cat I'm going to see if I can nip over tomorrow and check on them and get the cat what it needs if she's no better at looking after the cat in a few weeks, the cat will be coming home with me, it can live in the summerhouse As for my mother, i have a feeling that when the painkillers kick in and she's feeling better she will refuse help even more just no helping some people _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | Cheers Hun She's a stubborn old goat who cares more about other people than her self ..... If only she could comprehend that as much as she worries about us, we worry about her the same! Only she gets through it by drinking...we have to grin and bear it She's doing a little better now, she's having her up and down days _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | Not good I found her on the floor today, she couldn't move so I had to call my aunt and then the paramedics ... She had soiled herself which is a difficult thing to deal with seeing your mum like that ... Paramedics were great, they sorted her out, cleaned the rest of her up that we couldn't get too and got her back on the sofa, they spoke to the doctor who then came out because my mum wouldn't go into hospital, the doctor was a trainee and she was s**t!!! The good thing is though, when I got home I got in touch with social services, they've marked her as urgent and they're out on Monday _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | Very worried sange I've hopefully got her a zimmer frame thingy to use which will make her feel easier, we need to get help in soon as my aunty goes away next month for a week so my mum will have no one to care for her until I can get over She's a frustrating stubborn old goat that annoys me if she accepted help she would be okay!!! So annoying when there's many people out there who would grab at the help she's being offered _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! I hope to go to his heaven, not man's~ |

| If they can get her the Zimmer frame it will be a start and hopefully they will provide other services for her as well with the added bonus of you knowing someone will call on her regulary, especially if they understand you can't be there everyday. It's hard hun but there is not much more you can do unfortunately. |

| I wasn't supposed to go today but something didn't feel right so my mate ran me over and I found her on the floor again she was in a state!!! There's no life in her eyes, she's dead from the inside, she's just waiting to die and if I'm totally honest when she looks at us telling her off it's as if she's saying, I've accepted it, I wish you would It's soul destroying to see her! If I'm brutally honest we don't think she has long left at all now it's just a matter of waiting and who will find her first my fella has the day of tomorrow, were taking the Zimmer frame over for her, who know what we will find when we get there I have decided to put the cat in the bedroom tomorrow with food, water, and a cat litter tray just incase she's not seeing to her again....if when I go back the cats still in there I am bringing her home with me it's a hard decision as she will be totally on her own then but I can't get the thought of her falling over in the hallway whilst trying to let the cat in or out It's like I'm living in limbo with a constant feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | It's tragic sange I know this sounds horrible BUT I know she's going to die....I just wish it would come sooner rather than later..... Not for my sake, but for hers!! She was wheezing badly today...which can only mean that her lungs are being crushed .... I just hope and pray she is in no pain _________________ ~The dog is a gentleman! | It doesn't sound horrible, no one wants anyone to suffer like this, worrying what they are going through and how you will find them each time you go around to check on them |
