mixed emotions today

Well today is the day Suzie Kerstin Issie and me get to meet in York. We've been very excited about it for weeks now and im sitting on the train en route as I type. Its very mixed emotions as yesterday I had some very sad news my Mam has cancer. She has been very poorly for a year and has had numerous tests all came back ok apart from a blood test in may showed she had developed anaemia and Dr Jay did a colonoscopy yesterday and I was taken into a side room and told the news my mum has bowel cancer and its not looking good. They've taken a biopsy and they are doing another CT scan within the next 2 weeks and then decide what if anything is going to be done. I'm just going to carry on normally as best I can even though im breaking up inside. So York here I come I hope it can cope with us!!!

Im sorry I didn't see this before pmq you on fb. Im really sorry to hear about your mum, Jude  
I am not good with words but I pray that the doctors can stop this horrible disease from spreading. Most importantly they will make her comfortable.   

I hope you can enjoy yourself today with Suzie as much as possible.

    So sorry to hear this awful news    Like Elaine has said i hope the doctors can help your mum and make her feel comfortable  

I know it must be hard but hopefully meeting Suzie today can take your mind off the news for a while and you all have a nice day together  

So sorry Jude to hear about your Mom, can imagine how you must be feeling, I would be the same with my Mother, I do hope the doctors can help and stop it

Thank you Hilary it means a lot  Theres only Lee and Jon and my friends on here that have been told as My mams brothers funeral is on wednesday he died last week with cancer and My mams sister is on holiday so until aunty margaret is back home and uncle robs funeral is over we are keeping this news from the family.
Ive been to see my mam and dad today and as hard as it is weve said we carry on as normal and take each day with whatever is thrown at us. weve hugged and weve laughed but inside me its a totally different story. Im so bloody angry that she has been fobbed off for a whole year!! you dont lose 3 stone in weight without trying but that can be dealt with at a later date.

So sorry hun to hear about your mam.       . Like you say it should of been picked up sooner.hopefully Dr jay will manage to make your mam comfortable and help her considerably.
